Who I Am: Lofe, Pranks and Vlogs From Minnesota

I'm Lofe. Off camera my name is Ben Spande, and I'm an American YouTuber making comedic prank and vlog videos out of Minnesota. This is the short version of who I am and where the merch comes from.

Who is Lofe?

Lofe is me: one guy, a camera and a lot of pranks. The videos are a mix of pranks and vlogs, and many of the pranks are set around the University of Minnesota and in restaurants and stores. If you've watched a few, you already know the tone: deadpan, a little ridiculous, and never too serious.

How did the channel start?

My first uploads went up in March 2019. The very first video was about losing my pet snake in a college lecture hall. That set the bar pretty low for "normal", and it's stayed there since.

What happened after that?

After I graduated college, I started uploading consistently again in May 2021. From there the channel grew fast: 100,000 subscribers in February 2022 and 1 million in October 2022. You can see both play buttons in the photos on this site.

Where does the merch fit in?

The merch carries the same humour as the videos. A few of the designs:

• Proud Buffoon: stars-and-stripes bubble letters with a big smile.
• Buffoonery: the dictionary entry, "behavior that is ridiculous but amusing."
• Lofe's Bakery: open 24/7, Minnesota, USA.
• The LO/FE bolt: my name in red with a lightning bolt in the middle.

Every design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, with kids' and youth sizes too.

Where do I start?

Pick the joke you'd wear to class, to work or to the next family dinner, and go from there. Everything is in one place: shop the Lofe merch.
